The Little Green Energy Company joins the Hometree Group
Hometree’s ambitions to help decarbonise UK homes has moved into a new exciting phase with the acquisition of green energy installers, The Little Green Energy Company (TLGEC). In 2022 Residential homes accounted for 17% of all carbon emissions in the UK. Without tangible progress to shift home energy and heating away from fossil fuel dependence, we won’t meet our global commitments or do our bit to slow global warming.
Sustainable installations with great customer service
Over the last 14 years, TLGEC has been dedicated to helping customers find the best ways to reduce their own carbon footprint. They offer solar panel installation, battery storage and electric vehicle charging across Kent, London and the South East and their ultimate goal is to leave their customers feeling empowered about their decision to take home energy and heating into their own hands.
By partnering with TLGEC, Hometree is expanding its ability to provide end-to-end solutions for customers looking to decarbonise their homes when they feel ready. Hometree already offers cover, lifetime servicing and financing but with the addition of TLGEC to the Hometree Group we can now offer first-class green energy installation services.
The acquisition was led by Hometree’s Director of Mergers & Acquisitions, Olly Cutting. He recognised TLGEC’s potential to help homeowners across the UK achieve their carbon neutrality goals while experiencing top levels of customer service. This brand-new partnership signifies our joint commitment to driving meaningful change in the way we all heat and power our homes.
Better service for UK customers
Speaking about the new partnership, Hometree’s Chief Operating Officer Carla Stockton-Jones said, “Hometree’s customer centricity is not just a principle; it’s the cornerstone of our operation. We believe in fostering partnerships with organisations that prioritise customer satisfaction. We are excited to embark on this journey with The Little Green Energy Company”.
Simon Dudson, CEO and Founder of The Little Green Energy Company said “Our mission has always been to help homes and businesses to transition to solar panels and battery storage, reducing the impact on the planet. Working with Hometree will help us achieve that on a much larger scale, enabling more homes to join the green renewable energy revolution.”
To begin with, Hometree is providing support so TLGEC can continue to expand and deliver green solutions, but in the coming months, we’ll collectively launch products that provide extra value and security for customers looking to decarbonise.
With Hometree’s array of existing cover plans, financial products and a nationwide network of servicing engineers we are well placed to deliver positive change. But, by combining our expertise with the collective experience of TLGEC we believe we can really help homeowners take charge of their energy independence and drive positive change. For more information about decarbonising your home with The Little Green Energy Company click here.
